Harvest Camp Meeting USA 2011

Dear Brethren,

Without sounding like propaganda such as we have today, inundated each time we turn on the TV- Camp 2011 was phenomenal.

Yes I agree, this report has taken much longer than anticipated and many of us have gone on with our lives. So I believe there is no better time than the present to remind ourselves of what God did for us as a Ministry and individually this year.

Harvest International Ministries opens library

Accra, Aug. 25, GNA – Harvest Chapel International Ministries at Tesano in Accra on Thursday opened a modern library to help the youth especially to acquire more knowledge. Known as HCI Library, it is equipped with books on finance, commerce, labour, medicine, Christian psychology, religious ethics, religion and science, Christianity, doctrinal theology, practical theology, and Christian denominations.

I have worked with people in Ghana and the Diaspora and engaged with members of our Ministry and Community like you, I know that people are struggling with a fast-changing and demanding world. People feel overworked, out of energy, off-balance and often unproductive.

Daughters Of Zion (DOZ) Week

The daughters of Zion celebrated their annual ‘Daughters’ week’ from June 20th to June 26th 2011 and what a week it was! The theme for the week was “From Praise to Praise,” under the broad theme of the church for the month of June which was ‘Spiritual Warfare.’

The ladies, under the dynamic leadership of our first lady, Pastor (Mrs.) Thelma Odonkor, the DOZ president,  emphasized on the weapon of praise in warfare and this theme run through the programmes that were lined up for the celebration.

Harvest Praise 2011 - Nominated As Event Of The Year

Harvest Praise 2011 has been nominated for the Africa gospel awards in the category of "Event of the Year". We believe the program deserves such an award to enhance the profile of the program and also reflect on how far God has brought us as a Ministry. 

Induction of Pastors and Deacons

On Sunday the 15th of May, 2011, an induction service was held at the Harvest Chapel auditorium in Tesano during our church service.

Fifteen Pastors, two of whom were women and eight (8) deacons were inducted into office. There were three (3) ladies who formed part of the group of deacons. The induction ceremony was done by Rev. Fitzgerald Odonkor, the Head Pastor.

When Ghana united with South Africa for Good Friday praise

The Easter festivities got off on a high note for most Christians who thronged the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre for the 13th edition of Harvest Praise, the annual Praise concert organized by Harvest International Ministries.This year’s edition of Harvest Praise with the theme “Amazing Grace” brought together some of the biggest names in gospel music both locally and internationally to evangelize through gospel music.

The Gathering was a big success!!!

On Saturday April 23, 2011,  Harvest International Ministries, USA had its first teleconference, dubbed , “The Gathering”. At 8pm, Eastern Standard Time, members all over the US and Canada dialed into the conference.The meeting was moderated by Pastor Alexander Osae-Addo, WV. Pastor Gauis Gborglah, North Carolina introduced the purpose of the meeting - to bring members together across North America, to provide updates on the local level, show what God is doing in the life of the ministry.

South African Gospel Icon, Benjamin Dube To Thrill Harvest Praise 2011

Anointed South African songwriter, singer, and music producer, the Reverend Benjamin Dube, is billed to charm gospel music lovers at Harvest Praise 2011, Harvest International Ministries, organizers of the crucifixion praise and worship festival, announced in Accra.

Fusing the usual heavy soul inspiring South African rhythms with energetic dances, Rev Dube would lead other seasoned local artistes including current gospel music queen of the airwaves Cecilia Marfo and platinum record holders - Daughters of Glorious Jesus to rock Harvest Praise 2011 slated for Good Friday April 22 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.

The Harvest Mission for souls participated in this year’s Harvest Festival (annual gathering of all campus branches of Harvest International Ministries) which was hosted by UDS branch. We took the opportunity to evangelize to the students of BISCO Senior High School (26th February), GHANASCO Senior High School (28th February) and SHISHEGU (a Muslim community along the Tamale-UDS/Nyankpala road) on Monday 28th February. Our hearts are filled with great joy as we testify of the great harvest of souls translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light by the exceptional grace of God.
